our raison d’être

Ana, Iván, José and Silvia, we are a winemakers family, that after many years working for other people, we decided to make our own wines, …gratias. Through them we express our concerns and lived enological experiences, but…

…gratias is born as a gratitude to all those people that have helped us during our enological lives: family, friends, partners, teachers, masters… of whom we´ve got important and meaningful memories

Everything began in 2007 when we joined with some friends to spend some party time together and make a barrel of wine from Ivan´s father old vineyard located in his village (Alborea, Manchuela, Spain)

In this our personal project, we believe in making an ethical wine, which represents that wine cultivated, made and sold from respect, honesty, fair trade, happiness and illusion of all the people who work with us and those who will drink the wine

We only work with local grape varieties, some of them nearly extinguished as for example white grape tardana, pintaillo and others more extended as bobal. We want to share the goodness of those grapes to make wines with character. We are recovering old vineyards to avoid them to be uprooted and doing them worthwhile, so the viticulturists can still live from the vines.

We share the biological and biodynamic core principles, we define our vineyards depending on the vinegrower, because as soil, variety and climate are very important, human being factor has a decisive role, that´s why we talk about Terroir Paco, Terroir Pepe, Terrori Sergio…

Last but not least, during winemaking, concepts as artisanal wine and natural wine are fundamental principles, that´s why we try to avoid, as far as it´s possible to keep raw material, the use of additives and reduce the use of sulfites.
